Dave Locke

Dave has been a passionate teacher of Science and Physics for over 30 years, and has held a range of leadership positions within secondary schools including as Headteacher of Kingdown School, one of the founding schools within the Trust. This wealth of experience is now being used with schools across the Trust, in both the primary and secondary phases, to support a journey of improving outcomes for all.

Dave’s understanding of the complex nature of school leadership has developed into a solution-focused approach to the many problems related to sustainable school improvement; focusing relentlessly on the quality of teaching and learning, ensuring pupil engagement in the educational process, and using a forensic approach to monitoring pupil progress over time to inform future teaching strategies and practices. These approaches are rooted in the belief that all pupils can achieve within the educational system, regardless of their background or past experiences.
